Manual Cleaning
The EndoWrist instruments are validated to the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation Technical Information Report 12 standard (AAMI TIR 12 standard): Designing, testing and labeling reusable medical devices for reprocessing in health care facilities.

Automated Cleaning Option
Currently, the ONLY automated cleaning options validated for reprocessing da Vinci EndoWrist instruments are:

da Vinci® SonicPro™ Cleaning System
The da Vinci SonicPro Cleaning System, by Intuitive Surgical®, is an automated sonic irrigator system, validated exclusively, per AAMI TIR 12, for cleaning da Vinci EndoWrist® instruments and accessories.
Through its pre-programmed cleaning cycles, the da Vinci SonicPro Cleaning System offers efficient, consistent and automated cleaning for EndoWrist instruments and accessories. The da Vinci SonicPro Cleaning System is available for sale in the U.S. only.

Service and Installation:
STERIS Corporation is the Authorized Service Representative for servicing the da Vinci SonicPro Cleaning System. Customers should contact STERIS directly (call 1-800-333-8828) for maintenance or repair issues. STERIS is also responsible for system installation. Before scheduling an installation with STERIS, the hospital MUST complete specific pre-installation requirements, as specified in the da Vinci SonicPro Cleaning System Pre-Install Checklist. Upon completion of the necessary facility requirements, it is the customer’s responsibility to call STERIS and schedule installation.
The da Vinci SonicPro Cleaning System comes with a 13-month warranty. The warranty includes installation, one preventive maintenance call and all repair service calls, including parts and labor for that period. The warranty is effective from the date of shipment.
Service contracts and extended warranties will be offered by STERIS. The customer must call STERIS to obtain a service contract or extended warranty. Intuitive Surgical does not offer any extended warranty and/or service contract.
Medisafe SI PCF System
The Medisafe Sonic Irrigator (SI) PCF automated cleaning system is validated for cleaning and thermal disinfection of most EndoWrist instruments. For a complete list of

The Medisafe SI PCF system meets ISO15883 / HTM2030, ASTM E2314-0, AAMI TIR30 and AAMI TIR12 standards. The SI PCF system has been tested to reprocess up to 10 EndoWrist instruments through its dedicated da Vinci cycle, and uses the same critical parameters as outlined in Intuitive Surgical’s manual cleaning method.
Through its dedicated da Vinci cycle, the SI PCF system offers an efficient and convenient way to clean up to 10 EndoWrist instruments simultaneously.
da Vinci customers with Medisafe SI PCF systems can perform the qualified cleaning along with disinfection cycle by selecting “cycle 6”. For the qualified cleaning cycle without disinfection, select “cycle 3”.
Thermal disinfection for EndoWrist instruments may not be available in all countries.
