Training Centers*

There are currently 21 active training centers in the United States, including one at Intuitive Surgical headquarters. In addition, there are two European training centers. Each institution has at least one da Vinci^® Surgical System designated for training, research and development.

An Intuitive Surgical training specialist or a hospital representative supports each of the training centers. Intuitive Surgical training specialists and hospital representatives are responsible for conducting da Vinci^® System training programs in surgical specialties including urology gynecology, cardiac and general surgery.

The proctors and the hospital/surgeon are always free to negotiate with each other directly.
